BECAUSE WE CANNOT MONITOR OUR CHARACTERS' BEHAVIOR ALL THE TIMES

As this is the case, we can only make assumptions on what happens on a day-to-day basis in the city. This meme is to solidify that slice-of-life CR which SHOULD happen but which we may not have the time / attention span to thread. SO:

1. Tag in with your character! Add in details about their daily routine such as jobs, who they hang out with, etc., if you are so inclined!
2. Others will jump in and declare if/when/where/how their characters would have interacted with yours!

Taxooooooooon! Tell us about your characters-- especially what they're like physically, and what first impressions they might give to other characters.

Every character has quirks and mannerisms that are essential to the character-- the type of clothes they favor, the way they carry themselves, if they speak fast or slow, if they have an accent-- but it can be tedious to try and work these descriptions into tags every time you meet a new character. Or you might just forget if you've brought it up before!

THIS MEME IS HERE TO SERVE THESE NEEDS. We have had similar ones before but clearly it's time for another one.

Feel free to copypastah your answers here to some place where it will be easily seen for your character, like their Wikia page, or their permissions meme, if you would like other players to be able to find it down the road!

Character Name:
Height and build: You can give exact measurements if you want, but general description like 'tall but lanky' also works well!
Coloring and other physical details: Obviously the icons help with giving us visuals, but that doesn't mean they cover everything. Give us a few sentences describing what your character looks like, especially any distinguishing marks they might have-- scars, abundant freckles, etc.
Physical mannerisms: Does the character slouch? Sit up perfectly straight? Does he bounce a bit with nervous energy? Does she have the natural balance and poise of a martial artist? Anything else you can think to put in here that would fit under 'how [character] moves'!
Verbal mannerisms: This is the place to list things like accent and diction, if they slur, if they stutter, if they sound 'educated' or 'blue collar', if they speak slowly or quickly.
Clothing/Accessories: What does your character put on before leaving the house? Is he a sloppy dresser who grabs whatever's in the closet? Is she a meticulous fashionista, and her wardrobe shows it? Jewelry? Cosmetics? Expensive clothes or not? Bright colors or muted tones?
Miscellanea: Anything else you can think of that we haven't already asked about! <S>Like gifs</s>

On April 15, 2009, Taxon officially opened its doors. A lot has happened since then, we've grown and changed and shifted, there's an old guard and a new evolution and all of it is marvelous. This post is to mark the occasion, to have a gif party, to get re-acquainted and to connect with one another. The Manliness Test

Have you ever wondered how manly your character is? Especially when compared to other citizens? Well now through careful objective thinking and analyzing, we have ~~finally devised~~ stolen a test that will help you find out what your character's manly rating is!

Simply reply with your character answering the following questions and their final score (please make sure to show the answers to each question as well so we know which questions got a yes). Each question is worth 1 point with twenty points possible in all (as well as four bonus points!). Female characters are more than welcomed to participate in this as well since manliness is hardly limited to a single sex!

Once people posts their answers, other people can comment either ICly or OOCly to your character to remark on their score.

Hi Taxon! I've frequently laughed hysterically about the wonky age demographics in the city, and while at work today I opted to do some number crunching and see just how goofy it is. I got my numbers from the wiki and also guestimation, so there's likely a large margin of error at play. Anyway:

The Guys: Adjusted for Josef. ETA and Bagoas.
Average Age: 316
Tossing Out Long (who I pegged at 3,500 CORRECT ME DIEN): 88
Also Tossing Out The Other Cheaters (Jack, James, Josef, and Spike): 37, minus Mick as well is 32
Also Tossing Out The Kids (Briar, Party): 41, minus Mick is 35
Median Age: 46

The Ladies:
Average Age (including Dru who I pegged at 190 CORRECT ME EMMA): 36
Tossing Out Dru: 23
Also Tossing Out The Kids (Kitten, Sandry): 25
Median Age: 25

Of note: the male/female split right now is exactly 50/50 at 13 each. ETA: wait I lied and neglected Josef. So 14 guys and 13 girls and the guys are not getting ANY YOUNGER AT ALL. /re-does numbers)

ETA the second: wait no also Bagoas so that's 13/15 GUYS WHO ELSE IS NOT ON THE "CURRENT CHARACTERS" PAGE.

The Test Drive Meme

Bad news! You've been kidnapped by aliens to a very randomly planned city inside a moon in a galaxy far far away. The aliens have done this for the lulz. And research. But mostly lulz. Lots of bad and strange things happen, as the collection of weirdo citizens will no doubt tell you. The good news is this is a quiet day with absolutely no horrors, so grab your tablet and get to exploring and/or trolling.

Aww yiss open-to-all-and-any test drive meme. Have some rules, such as they are:
1. Tag in with a character. Any character. Any medium. One you've already apped, one you're thinking of apping, one you'll never app, go wild.
2. That character has either a) just arrived in Taxon or b) has been stuck in the city for some time. Totally up to you.

Sofo and I were having a chat this morning, during which I found the building Glitch's door goes to. There was much squeeing and fawning over the pretty, and then Sof said "Let's have a post where people can link pictures of stuff around town!" and I said "Or I can make this way more complicated as usual and put together a tumblr."

So that's what I did.

We're always trying to convey the sheer randomness of the city but getting actual pictures of that is tricky. This will have to be the next best thing. Submissions and suggestions are totally welcome!

PS: I'm adding tags for which district stuff can be found in and how it can be utilized (public space, residence, office, secret lair, etc.) so there'll be plenty of ideas for post settings bouncing around here!
