On April 15, 2009, Taxon officially opened its doors. A lot has happened since then, we've grown and changed and shifted, there's an old guard and a new evolution and all of it is marvelous. This post is to mark the occasion, to have a gif party, to get re-acquainted and to connect with one another. Let's celebrate the past and look to the future, Year Four of the Taxon project starts...now!

IN THIS POST: gifs, reminiscing, glitter, plotting, love meme-style bibbling, questions, answers, friending on various social media, and basically a giant cuddle pile. ICly, the aliens are giving everyone jet packs and there will be a post for that soon enough. For now? I love everyone in this bar/game/city/habitrail ♥

WHERE: The warehouse one block south of the bazaar in Shelley.
WHEN: 31 December, 7 pm 'til ???
DRESS: Comfortable and colorful and sparkly if you can manage it! Bring your dancing shoes! (And musical instruments, if you're so inclined.)
GIFTS: It is traditional to give presents to friends and loved ones, something to help them in the new annual. Think of it as giving others resolutions, in gift form! Silly, serious, sentimental, it's all good so long as it comes from the heart.

Yes, Cain and Glitch have been working on presenting a good ol' fashioned O.Z.ian Annual's End party to mark the start of the new annual. Since the entire holiday and its traditions were made up in some thread somewhere, we expect there's going to be a lot of winging it. Still, basic New Year's Eve tropes apply: booze, schmoozing, dancing, and...okay, if the goofy Othersiders want to kiss at midnight then they can go and get that.

Among the alcohol there will be a bottle of Dionysian wine available for consumption. It will come with a disclaimer.

The post will go up as a big ol' fashioned party post some time tomorrow or early Saturday. Use THIS post to plan! Who are your characters going with? What are they wearing? Who are they smooching at midnight? Who's on their dance card? What resolutiony presents are they giving? Dive in, have fun, meet new people, build new CR!

All y'all are cordially invited (someone really needs to explain to Glitch about vampires) to a festive holiday celebration...thing at the Northern Island. You know, that big lump of ice at the north end of town which hides a giant honkin' art neuvo palace. And a ballroom. And a bitchin' sound system. HALLS WILL BE DECKED, SWAG WILL BE...SWAGGERED. SANTA MAY VERY WELL BE PRESENT AND PELVIC-THRUSTY. Hors will be d'œuvre'd. Extra-gratuitous mistletoe might be lurking. Party post will go up on December 15 for maximum seasonal cheer, this one's for planning and hijinks.
