MEME: AU Drabble Things
Speaking of AUs: I am blaming Dien and her tumblr for this.
1.) Tag in with your characters.GO GO GO!
2.) Someone else tags you with with an alternate universe setting. Inclusion of their character(s) in the AU is totally cool.
3.) Writea three-sentence ficdrabble-like thing in response.
4.) You tag others with AU prompts and get drabble-things in return.

He knew he was insane when he decided to find Christopher’s boys, two years after the plane crash, but it seemed only right. Christopher and Anne had been there when his parents died, it was only fair he do the same for their boys.
“Tony! Tony, Steve threw the ball as far as he could and I still managed to hit it!” He came barrelling into the workshop, skidding to a halt on the ground next to Tony, eyes crackling red with excitement. “What are you doing?”
“The same thing I was this morning, bright eyes. I’m working on the propulsion system of the suit.”
“Mark eighteen,” Scott nodded. “Because seventeen got blown up, and Steve grounded you for a fortnight.”
“Oi, less of the smug.” He ruffled the boy’s hair. “Where’s Steve now?”
“Cooking lunch.” He leaned his chin on his hand, elbow on his knee. “Tony. I was a big help during that last fight against Loki. Even you said that.”
“Yeah, you were. But you’re still not joining the Avengers until you’re forty.”
“You said twenty one last time!”
“Last time you hadn’t put a grey streak in my beard by getting kidnapped by a supervillain.” He sighed and put down his work, throwing an arm around Scott. “I know you want to help, but even I’m not irresponsible enough to let a fourteen year old join the Avengers.”
“Xavier’s team have a sixteen year old.”
“The Avengers aren’t Xavier’s mob of vigilantes and you’re still not sixteen either.” He scruffled up the boy’s hair. “I can’t let anything happen to you until you’re old enough to look after my children. Right?”
“Tony,” Scott sighed with a long suffering roll of his eyes. “I don’t think you and Steve are going to be having kids any time soon.”
“Exact- Hey! Hang on, what?!”
Scott was already bounding for the stairs. “Like I didn’t know, Tony!”
“I meant Dummy, not, oh forget it.” He paused, then got up. “Actually, lets go and tell Steve that one, shall we?”
