River is pretty ambivalent about Eric. ON THE ONE HAND, he's sort of a jerk and far too tall for his own good. ON THE OTHER, he's close to Godric and taught her how to drink blood when she was insufferably uncomfortable.

In conclusion, side-eye and begrudging respect: Eric can has.

Love. All the love. Godric would pull the moon out of the sky for Eric if Eric needed him to. He would sacrifice all else to protect Eric, and trusts Eric in all things. For all that he's come to value and even love others in Taxon, if the choice came down to them or Eric, he would choose Eric -- with grief, but without hesitation.

CONFUSED, BASICALLY? :D?

She's had a bad history with mothers (her own was kind of a negligent rich horror who abandoned her to government torture, and her maternal figures that grew out of relationships in Taxon left which kind of stung like even moar abandonment) (sob she has issues), and the fact that Kate is glitched into this role for River makes her super extra wary. HOWEVER she is actually good at it, which is new and exciting. Thus, confusion.

Godric has a ton of respect for Kara, because he can count the number of people on one hand who can take him head on at full strength without issue. He's intrigued by her because he's never met anyone or anything quite like her, and her blood is like nothing he's ever tasted (and he's pretty sure he never wants to taste it again). New things in Godric's experience are rare, so he wants to know more about who and what she is, but he isn't rude enough to ask outright when their only major interaction has been a battle.

So River's strategy for making friends sometimes boils down to "troll them until they like you." Angela is a very lucky friend indeed.

Also at some point they should bond over art.

Completely awkward, have to agree on that. As far as the AU goes, Kaylee really just wants to rekindle that fun little friendship they had as kids, because she thinks that it's something Theta could probably use. Once the AU is over, I'm sure they will have plenty to talk about in relation to mechanic-type-things.

When plot is over they'll definitely be needing some interaction :D

Godric thinks Kaylee is sweet. Possibly too sweet. Though he's only met her once, he's vaguely concerned about her ability to not fall victim to the sort of terrible trouble Taxon can produce. That said, she's friends with River, which significantly ups her chances of not being killed or maimed. Otherwise, he's actually faintly jealous of Kaylee's bright cheer because he can't ever reclaim that kind of innocent joy, if he ever even possessed such a thing.

WHAT'S UP BEST VAMPIRE FRAND?

Godric commands a lot of respect from her, and while a lot of it is because of the fact that he respects her (that is no small thing) but also that he is kind of scary. She recognizes that he's ridiculously powerful, appreciates that they can still interact on the same level (fuck yeah Risk), and is kind of quietly worried about the glamor issue and all the different things it can mean (even though the main thing on the table is good). Along with all that River is vaguely aware that there are boundaries and likes that she can just poke at them idly to remind herself that they're there; see: annoying Eric.

Oh dear god. Okay, fine. ;)

Dawn:
Dawn is like a little slice of sunlight. She brightens Godric's night and he appreciates her deeply for it. She's young and modern and fearless and she makes him feel a little less old, a little less like the monster he knows he is. A dose of Dawn is better than any therapy.

Faith:
Love. He'll never say so outright because it would probably scare her, but Faith is so much like himself, so damaged in such a similar fashion, that he can't help but love her. If he could give her the sort of uneasy peace he found after centuries of anger, or if he could give her even better, he would. But since he can't, he'll give her comfort when she denies she needs it, and pleasure when she wants it, and be a steady presence she can rely on. He knows what she needs, sometimes even when she doesn't know it or want to admit it, and he'll always do everything in his power to provide it.

Damon:
Rude, cocky, arrogant, attractive. Reminds him distinctly of Eric. He's sort of amused by Damon, and actually appreciates the lack of respect he displays, in a way. It's refreshing to have another vampire interact with him bluntly, without being fearful of offending him, even if that bluntness can sometimes be annoying.

No first impressions on Stefan just yet, because they haven't met. THIS SHOULD BE REMEDIED IMMEDIATELY.

As for Angel, Godric has a lot of respect for Angel, primarily because Angel has a lot of respect for him and it's nice to have vampires around who don't cause him any grief. He also has similar issues about feeding from people, respecting humans, etc, which gives Godric a sense of camaraderie he never really found back home. Currently, this is all causing him shitloads of grief because he really wants to kill Dru, but he can't do so without burning this particular bridge. :x

Godric adores his little admiral. I'm sure I've said this before, but if he were a less honorable vampire, he'd keep River for his own. He's fascinated by her powers and also very respectful of them. He's also fully aware that River is a girl with (very intelligent) thoughts and emotions of her own that often are not acknowledged because people dismiss her as crazy or simply don't understand her. Godric doesn't always understand her either, but he will never be foolish enough to dismiss her. In a different time, she would have been a seer or a shaman. She is royalty among commoners.

I think her sunny disposition amuses Eric. He defintely likes her and would totally bone her if she offered herself to him. Her friendly attitude toward him is something of a surprise to him, I think, considering that's not the usual response he gets from people. It's nice and he appreciates it....I could and might just add more tl;dr, but I'm on borrowed time atm.

Faith: Well, he totes wants to fuck her, that's for sure. I think he respects her, after the couple of times they've chatted. He thinks she's good for Godric and would make a badass vampire. I think she could have the potential to be a substitute Pam, in the way that she could totes give him a piece of her mind and he might more or less listen.

Damon: First off they need to chat more. Second, Eric is so not intimidated by Damon at all. That whole flirting or threatening thing they have going on...idek. I love it though. I think Eric finds Damon's whole attitude amusing. He'd probably enjoy kicking his ass if the time ever came. Uummmm stuff. Idk. They should totes talk more and then I'll have a better idea of what he really thinks.

EDIT: this "tl;dr" is total crap and i'm sorry for it. this is what happens when i try to be insightful for 5 minutes on my phone in the hotel bathroom. :\ i can redo it if you want.

Kaylee's favorite quality about ~~Nikki~~Kate is that she doesn't hesitate to help people. Kate isn't like most government workers Kaylee knows. She's got this admirable snarky quality to her as well, which only helps in getting along with her, and she's fun and lacking in a lot of the awkward stiffness that most cops have.

Basically, expect an invite to the next GNO, Kate.
