Finding herself snatched suddenly from the forest had been alarming enough, but the situation had gone from bad to worse when she started to explore the city. It was eerie. The forest had been peaceful, but there was a world of difference between peace and silence.

Snow moved quietly through the streets, her knuckles turning a little white as she tightened her grip on the length of pipe she'd managed to find as a makeshift weapon. It wasn't a spear or a bow, but it would do. She could swing it with a reasonable amount of force if she had to.

As she walked, she tried to sort through her thoughts. Had the Queen done this? No. That didn't make any sense. Hunting her was one thing, but this ... this was ridiculous.
