Her fingers gave DG's a squeeze before releasing one hand. She wasn't letting go of the other though. It might be a chore for her to do so often, not until she was certain one or the other wouldn't be ripped away.

"When has life not been dangerous, DG? Dangerous is why we're both so fearful for the other," she said, knowing there was so much more to fear in life and yet she felt nothing worse could happen so long as they weren't apart. "Is the magic... It works here?"
