kirk → kara.
Kirk really likes Kara. She's got a great, vibrant personality and has helped him out more than a few times when the weight of having been in Taxon for nearly two years starts to wear down on him. He really values her friendship and the alien thing is not even a factor, given the world he grew up in. tbch, he doesn't entirely understand the prejudice some of the people in Taxon have against people like Kara, Spock, B'Elanna and Ax. To him, they are just people. People from non-Earth worlds with different customs/beliefs/etc., but people, nonetheless. Kara also reminds him of the time he hails from, makes Taxon feel less like a past land theme park.
